We partnered with Caravan to craft a fully-CG brand film for Seagate — the world's leading data storage company. The film carries viewers from the very first spark of computing, through decades of relentless innovation, and into the wide-open frontier of AI. It's a story about data, and the extraordinary things that become possible when the two collide.

Into the Void

Data is the soul of Seagate, so we needed a visual language for it that felt both technically credible and emotionally resonant. We explored dozens of directions before landing on a flowing, particle-driven data stream — one that could feel microscopic and cosmic at the same time. The final look draws on real data visualization references while pushing into something more expressive and alive. Every tendril, every cluster, every burst of light was designed to feel like information with purpose.

From Origin to Horizon

The video needed to span decades of technological history without ever feeling like a documentary. So instead of leaning on literal iconography, we used abstract visual metaphors to mark the passage of time — shifting data densities, evolving color temperatures, and environments that move from the coldness of early computing to the warmth of the digital age, and finally into something that feels genuinely limitless.

Inorganic Meets Organic

As the video moves into the era of AI and machine learning, the visual language transforms with it. The rigid geometry of traditional computing gives way to something more fluid — a sprawling, ever-changing network of data that breathes and branches like a thriving coral reef. Structure and spontaneity, existing as one.

Embracing the Infinite

In the final sequence, everything converges. The particle streams of the opening, the liquid metal of the AI era — all of it flows together into a single, boundless environment. A world of infinite possibility, built from everything Seagate has become.
